Old Mackletree Bridge Memorial
The original Mackletree Bridge was built in the 1930's by the Civil Conservation Corps (CCC). Under this federal work relief program, the CCC employed millions of young men during the Great Depression. The CCC planted more than 3 billion trees and constructed lakes, bridges, trails, and shelters in more than 800 parks across the nation.
