Otway Bridge Saved!

The project to save the Otway Covered Bridge has been completed! The $421,900 project to repair and rehab the historic landmark that was built in 1874 and is Scioto County's last remaining covered bridge was completed by the Righter Company of Columbus under the direction of Scioto County Engineer Craig Opperman in August of 2014. Funding for the project came from and a grant from the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, local fund raising and assistance from the Scioto County Engineer's Dept. 
A ribbon cutting ceremony to officially reopen the restored and rehabbed Otway Covered Bridge was held on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
